MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.----LaWanna Leon and Brandy Holsendolph both scored in double figures Wednesday night to lead the Georgia College & State University Lady Bobcats to an 84-65 Peach Belt Conference victory over visiting Lander at the Centennial Center.

GC&SU improves to 8-7 overall and 3-5 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 4-9, 0-5.

Leon netted 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for a double-double, while Holsendolph added 12 points for GC&SU.

Lander was led by Jennifer Hukill's game-high 20 points, while Tara Nyikavaranda and Shaquanta Glaze who both posted double-doubles. Nyikavaranda scored 17 points and had 11 rebounds, while Glaze had 15 points and 10 rebounds.

GC&SU, which led 44-35 at halftime, connected on 31-of-86 field goals for 36 percent, including 13-of-37 from the three-point line.

Lander made 23-of-67 field goals for 34.3 percent and was 13-of-16 from the free throw line for 81.3 percent.
