JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.----The Lander women's volleyball team dropped 4-5 on the season Saturday when the Bearcats lost two matches during the second day of the Carson-Newman Lady Eagle Classic.

Lander, which split games with Carson-Newman and Converse College on Friday, lost to Palm Beach Atlantic, 3-0, and to Lincoln Memorial, 3-2, on Saturday.

Against Palm Beach Atlantic (30-16, 30-27, 30-28), Lander was led by Kay Stewart and Andrea Griffin, who had eight kills each, while Sara Senn totaled 18 digs.

Against Lincoln Memorial (30-32, 30-21, 19-30, 30-17, 15-10), Lander was led by Griffin (14 kills), Stewart (14 kills), Damon (41 assists) and Melissa Trippany (23 digs).
