GREENWOOD----Lenoir-Rhyne's Katheryn Phillips recorded a game-high 21 kills and added eight digs Tuesday night to lead the Lady Bears volleyball team to a 3-2 non-conference victory over Lander in Horne Arena. Game scores were: 19-30, 30-25, 18-30, 30-20, 21-19.

Lenoir-Rhyne improves to 8-6 overall, while Lander drops to 6-7.

L-R also got key contributions from Angela Danley (14 kills), Lauren McLelland (3 kills, 50 assists, 4 service aces, 18 digs), Logan Byrnes (9 kills, 16 digs) and Katie Novacek (10 digs).

Lander's Sara Senn and Kerri Sorensen both posted double-doubles in the match. Senn had 14 kills and 23 digs, while Sorensen added 10 kills and 13 digs. Christy Plecha tallied 13 kills and Claire Damon had 35 assists. Melissa Trippany and Tracy Jacobs had 16 and 14 digs respectively.
