CHARLOTTE, N.C.----Jack Thompson scored the lone goal of the game in the ninth minute Saturday as the No. 25-ranked Lander men's soccer team defeated Queens University, 1-0, in a non-conference game.

Lander improves to 5-1-1.

Garrett Daum earned the win at goalkeeper.

The Bearcats will play at North Georgia College at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, in their Peach Belt Conference opener.
