GREENWOOD----Luke Ibbetson's penalty kick after only 11 minutes had elapsed in the game proved to be the game-winner Wednesday night as the Lander men's soccer team defeated USC Aiken, 1-0, in a Peach Belt Conference contest.

Lander improves to 9-3-3 overall and 3-1-2 in the PBC, while USCA drops to 2-11-2, 1-4-0.

Ibbetson's goal gives him a league-leading 19 goals on the season.

Lander goalkeeper Garrett Daum posted four saves, while USCA's Marcos Rodriguez had two.

Lander outshot the Pacers, 11-8, and led in corner kicks, 6-4.
