GREENWOOD----The USC Aiken women's volleyball team rallied in the fifth game Thursday night to claim a 3-2 Peach Belt Conference victory over Lander in Horne Arena. Game scores were: 30-27, 21-30, 30-22, 23-30, 15-10.
USC Aiken improves to 13-9 overall and 5-2 in the PBC, while Lander slips to 7-17, 0-7.
USCA's Veronica Seidle, Katie Baker and Rachel Dalitz posted double-doubles to lead the Lady Pacer attack. Seidle had 15 kills and 26 digs, Baker had 13 kills and 13 digs, and Dalitz had 59 assists and 11 digs. Mandy Gerolstien added 14 kills, Missy Deardorff 13 and Laura Williams 11. Danielle Spice had 12 digs.
Lander was led by Kerri Sorensen, who had 19 kills and 17 digs. Andrea Griffin added 11 kills, while Carly Plecha added 20 assists. Sara Senn led the Bearcats in digs with 26, while Melissa Trippany had 18 and Claire Damon 12.
Lander had a .179 hitting percentage, while USCA had .165.
