Adam Weyer serves as Lander University's senior associate athletics director for internal affairs, a position he has held since May 2025. In his role, Weyer oversees maintenance of athletic facilities, provides administrative oversight for seven athletic teams, coordinates team travel and serves as a tournament director for conference and NCAA championships. He also assists the Lander Foundation with securing sponsorship opportunities for Lander Athletics.
Weyer previously served as Lander's senior associate athletics director and director of sports medicine from January 2023 through May 2025 and as assistant athletics director for sports medicine from July 2016 through January 2023. During his tenure in sports medicine, he oversaw medical care for more than 800 student-athletes as Lander Athletics grew from 12 to 28 teams. He also expanded the sports medicine staff to seven athletic trainers.
Prior to joining Lander, Weyer served as assistant athletics director for sports medicine and head athletic trainer at Erskine College. He also spent a combined six years as an athletic trainer in the Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations.
Weyer has served on several university and professional committees throughout his career, including Lander's CARE Team, Bloodborne Pathogen Committee and Health Advisory Committee. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association Intercollegiate Council for Sports Medicine and served as project chair for the College-University Value Model document. He previously served as president of the Peach Belt Conference Athletic Trainers and chair of the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association Scholarship Committee.
A 1999 graduate of Erskine College, Weyer earned a bachelor's degree in sports medicine before completing a Master of Education in health and human performance from Auburn University in 2001.
Weyer and his wife, Ashley, have been married since 1999 and have two grown sons, Matthew and Daniel.
