Jordan Jacobs was hired as the the strength and conditioning coach at Lander in August of 2019

Prior to arriving at Lander, Jacobs spent a year as the head strength and conditioning coach at Shippensburg University, where he was responsible for directing and managing the strength and conditioning program of Shippensburg's athletic department. 

Before working at Shippensburg, Jacobs was an assistant strength and conditioning coach for four years at Massachusetts (UMass) and two years at Arkansas.

During Jacobs' time at UMass, he was the streangth and conditioning coach for multiple sports, including the 2018 men's lacrosse team, which earned a CAA Title and NCAA Tournament berth as well as the 2016 A-10 champion men's swimming team. 

While coaching the men's and women's track and field teams at Arkansas, Jacobs helped lead both teams to an SEC Indoor Championship in 2013, a Men's NCAA Indoor Championship in 2013, an SEC Outdoor Championship in 2013, and an SEC Indoor Championship in 2014. Jacobs worked with seven individual national champions during his time with the Razorbacks.

Jacobs earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Kent State University in 2007, as well as a master's of science degree in exercise physiology from Western Michigan University in 2010. 

He is certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and holds certifications as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach ® (RSCC) and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). 

Jacobs lives in Greenwood with his wife, Jessica, and their sons, Jay and James.
