Coach Buckley enters his fourth year with the Bearcats. Since arriving in Greenwood the Bearcats have increased their win total every year. The 2024 team was ranked Nationally and in the Regional Rankings. Along with Coach Popp; Coach Buckley and he are in charge of the Offense and Defensive daily. The two of them helped form one of the best defenses and offenses around in 2024. The 2024 Bearcats finished 4th in the Nation in fielding percentage and offensively they were top 15 in the nation in walks, top 25 in HBP’s and SB’s.
    Along with those stats, the offense was 6th in the region in runs scored per game. The offense saw improvements in several categories as well from 2023 to 2024- OPS, R, H, 2B, HR, Total Bases, SLG, BB, HBP, OBP, and SB’s. While on staff Coach Buckley has helped tutor a PBC Freshman of the Year (Connor Droze), a PBC Player of the Year (Ethan Wilder), and 6 different All-Conference position players. Buckley played four years at Florida Atlantic University from 2011 to 2014 where he was part of two Conference Championship teams. He most recently served as an infield and hitting coach with the Palm Beach Extreme in the South Florida Collegiate League from 2019-2021.
