MILL SPRING, N.C. – The Lander women's cross country team finished eighth at the Tryon XC Showcase on Friday evening, totaling 210 points at the Tryon International Cross Country Course.
Carly Fuel led the Bearcats for the second straight race with a 17th-place finish in the 5K, crossing the line in 18:45.1.
Amara Hille followed in 39th at 19:55.4, while
Kayla Kerkofsky placed 50th in 20:31.8.
Hannah Hall finished 63rd in 21:38.4, and
Faye Brooks rounded out Lander's scoring five in 64th at 21:39.2.
Callie McElroy placed 67th in 21:42.4, followed by
Madeline Beal in 78th at 22:39.6.
Kaelynn Larose and
Nazareth Godinez finished 83rd and 84th, respectively, with times of 23:47.2 and 23:47.3.
Lander returns to action Oct. 9 at the Royals Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte, N.C.
