AUGUSTA, Ga. – Cathal Penney picked up his first career PBC Men's Golfer of the Week award this afternoon, the conference office announced.

Penney finished T2 and 8-under par in last week's Savannah Lakes Men's Invitational hosted by Lander at Monticello Golf Club in McCormick. In making the All-Tournament Team, Penney had rounds of 67/72/69 and carded 13 birdies and 36 pars.

Penney was fourth in par-5 scoring and sixth in par-4 scoring in a field of 108 players. He finished only two shots back of the winner, Newberry's Daymian Rij.
