GREENWOOD – The women's soccer match between Lander and Clayton State on Saturday evening has been suspended in the 23rd minute and will be resumed at a date to be determined.

The No. 22 Bearcats conceded their first goal of the season to the Lakers in the 12th minute as Clayton State presently holds a 1-0 lead.

Aniyah Vargas was left alone on the left wing following a battle for the ball after a Lakers' corner-kick was headed out of the box. Teammate Ninni Ringstad crossed the ball to Vargas, who tucked it in the bottom left corner.
