GREENWOOD – Lander men's soccer head coach
Paul Leese announced today the hiring of assistant coach
Chris Ketron to his staff ahead of the 2026 season.
Ketron comes to Lander after most recently serving as head coach of the boys' soccer team at Patuxent High School in Maryland.
Ketron also coached at the Calvert Soccer Association in Maryland from 2023-26, and the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy from 2019-23. His background is rooted in player development, training design and evaluation systems.
"I'm very pleased that Chris has agreed to join us here at Lander," Leese said. "Chris's professionalism and work ethic fits our culture perfectly. His attention to detail and focus on player development will benefit our players as they look to grow and build their careers after college."
Ketron earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Limestone in 2019 and minored in coaching.
"I am honored and excited to join the Lander Men's Soccer program and become part of this university community," Ketron said. "I want to thank the administration and athletic department for their trust in me.
"I look forward to building strong relationships with our student athletes, helping them grow on and off the field, and creating a culture that reflects hard work, accountability, and pride. I'm eager to get started and help our program compete at the highest level."
