Lander Softball to Open Season at Home After Winter Storm Delay

GREENWOOD - Due to the effects of the winter storm that impacted the Carolinas over the past weekend, Lander softball's season-opening doubleheader has been rescheduled.

Originally set to begin their 2026 campaign on the road at Wingate on Wednesday, Feb. 4, the Bearcats will now travel to face the Bulldogs on Wednesday, Feb. 18. First pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 1 p.m., with game two following at approximately 3 p.m.

With the adjustment, Lander will now open the season at home on Saturday, Feb. 7, hosting Catawba in a doubleheader at Doug Spears Field. Game times are scheduled for noon and 2 p.m.
