Weather Changes Baseball Opening Weekend Schedule

GREENWOOD – Due to forecasted inclement weather expected to impact the Greenwood and Due West areas this weekend, the opening weekend schedule for the Lander Baseball team has been adjusted.

The Bearcats will now open the 2026 season at home on Friday with a doubleheader against Erskine beginning at 1 p.m. A ring ceremony honoring the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Championship team will take place between games.

The originally scheduled Friday single game between Lander and Erskine will now be played Monday in Due West, S.C., with first pitch set for 1 p.m.

As of now, Lander's nonconference matchup against Newberry on Tuesday remains scheduled as planned.
