AUGUSTA, Ga. – Callum Stokes was named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week this afternoon after scoring four goals in a pair of wins last week.
Stokes, a sophomore from Reading, England, recorded his first career hat trick in the Bearcats' 5-1 home win over No. 19 North Georgia last Wednesday.
He then added another goal in Lander's 3-0 win at USCA on Saturday in the regular-season finale.
Stokes' six goals this season are second-most on the team, and this gives Lander back-to-back Player of the Week awards after
Ryosuke Tanaka won a week ago.
The Blue and Gold host Middle Georgia in the No. 2 vs. No. 7 match in the PBC quarterfinals this Saturday. Kick-off from Van Taylor Stadium is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
