GREENWOOD - The Lander Esports League of Legends Team delivered an dominant performance at the NECC League of Legends East Division Championship Tournament, sweeping their way to the title with a dominant 3-0 victory over top-ranked Dalhousie University in the best-of-five games finals. Their path to the championship was equally as impressive, with Lander securing two 2-0 sweeps over #3 Southern New Hampshire and #7 North Georgia in the best-of-three quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
In the finals, The Bearcats really flexed their muscles with a mix of  early-game dominance and dramatic comebacks, culminating in the 3-0 sweep.
- Game 1: Lander struck first with a dominant performance, closing out the game with an 11,000 gold lead in just 26 minutes.
- Game 2: Despite an early deficit, Lander mounted a comeback, prompted by Duc Duy Huynh (IGN: Danny), whose clutch teleport flank play on Yone turned the tide. The team secured victory in 36 minutes.
- Game 3: Lander once again asserted their dominance, securing a fast-paced 25-minute win to seal the championship.
The average margin of victory across the series was 10,233 gold, with an average game time of 29 minutes and 28 seconds.
Kiet Cao (IGN: Calm) was named the match MVP after delivering a stellar performance throughout the series, tallying 27 kills, 7 deaths, and 18 assists over the three games.
In addition to the leadership of Cao, the entire Lander squad contributed to the victory, with notable performances from:
- Duc Duy Huynh (IGN: Danny): 11 kills, 16 deaths, 12 assists
- Kyle Gheen: 10 kills, 5 deaths, 13 assists
