Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Bearcats blank Hurricanes 1-0

GREENWOOD - Lander defeated Georgia Southwestern 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Peach Belt Conference women's soccer action Saturday afternoon. 

Shots were at a premium Saturday, but Emma Sexton took a pass from Mary Moosbrugger in the 18th minute and found the back of the net to put the Bearcats up 1-0. That would prove the difference as Lander outshot the Hurricanes 9-7 on the day and held Georgia Southwestern to just two shots on goal.

Leah Hayes Coen made two saves in goal to record her fourth shutout of the season.
