GREENWOOD - A late goal by Converse broke a 2-2 tie and gave the Valkeries a 3-2 win over Lander Wednesday night. 

Converse would score two goals in the first 34 minutes to take the lead over Lander. In the 42nd minute, a misplay by a Valkyrie defender resulted in an own goal and made it a one-goal game heading into intermission. 

Twenty minutes into the second half, Maren White found Alarie Hodge for her fifth goal of the season to tie the game up at two. It looked like the game would finish in a draw, but Converse scored a goal in the 85th minute to take the lead for good.
