GREENWOOD - Three Bearcats were named to the CSC 2023 Academic All-District® Baseball Team on Tuesday afternoon.

Michael Nastro, Gary Garrett and Tyler Prell were selected.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 6 for softball and June 7 for baseball. 

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. The cumulative grade-point average may NOT be rounded up to 3.50. Student-athletes must have played in at least 50 percent of their team's contests, with a 10-inning minimum for pitchers in the case of baseball and softball.
