Box Score Columbus, Ga. - Columbus State handed women's tennis their second straight loss this weekend as the they fell 1-6 against the Cougars.
Sina Albersmeier and
Mille Elsborg lost 2-6 in No.1 Doubles.
Hannah Panchal and
Fe Batoon dropped in a tiebreaker set in No.3 Doubles 6-7[2-6].
Maranda Adair and
Emily Ineson's No.2 Doubles set went unfinished due to CSU winning the Doubles point.
Albersmeier and Adair were defeated in No.1 and 3 Singles. Albersmeier and Adair's scores were 3-6, 0-6 and 2-6,2-6 respectively. Ineson also fell with two straight 2-6 sets. Panchal keeps things close in No.5 Singles, but eventually lost with two sets of 4-6.
Micaela Pallete was defeated in 1-6, 0-6 sets. Elsborg secured the only point for women's tennis due to a default by her CSU opponent.
Lander's next match was supposed to be against Mars Hill on April 4th, but was canceled early this week. The Bearcats will instead prepare to battle at Limestone on April 6th at 3 pm.
