Hickory, N.C. - Lander took care of business away from home, defeating Lenoir-Rhyne 6-1 on Sunday.
Men's tennis won every Doubles match to gain the first point heading into Singles.
Markus Sorensen and
Nick Beamish were forced to a tiebreaker but overcame the close match 7-6 [7-2].
Hugo Regner and
Matthew De Groot cruised to a 6-0 victory in No.2 Doubles, while
Ambroise Marchand and
Alexandre Crepy only allowed one set point, winning 6-1.
Regner kept up the pace, giving the Bearcats their second point in No.1 Singles with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph. Crepy only allowed one point, as he dominated 6-0, 6-1 in No.3 Singles. Beamish and
Mouad Naoui continued their success winning 6-2, 6-4 and 6-1, 6-3 respectively. Sorensen completed the afternoon with a 6-3, 6-4 victory for the sixth point.
The Bearcats will have one match during Spring Break, as they face #1 Barry in Savannah, Ga. The match will take place at Bacon Park on March 7th at 2:00 pm.
