#13 Bearcats Dominate in a 6-1 Victory Over Carson-Newman

Greenwood, S.C. - Men's tennis continues to a 4-0 to start the season after defeating Carson-Newman 6-1 on Monday afternoon.   

The Bearcats won all three Doubles matches. The duo of Markus Sorensen and Nick Beamish, as well as the pair of Hugo Regner and Mattherw De Groot both finished on top in Doubles No. 1 and 2 scoring 6-3. Ambroise Marchand and Alex Crepy filled in the No. 3 Doubles with a 6-4 victory to take the Doubles point. 

Regner started of No. Singles with a hard-fought win. Regner rolled through his first set 6-1, and need 7-6[5] tiebreaker in the second. 

Matthew De Groot came from behind after falling 2-6 in the first set. De Groot then went on to defeat his opponent 6-2 and 10-8. Crepy and Beamish won in two straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, and 6-0, 6-4 respectively. Moaud Naoui snatched the last team point with a 6-2, 6-0 victory in No. 6 Singles. 

Lander will travel on I-26 to face Converse this Thursday at 2:30 pm.
