Davie, Fla. - With her top-five finish at the NCAA Division II South Regionals on Wednesday,
Hannah Stephenson will advance to the NCAA Championship for women's golf.
Stephenson finished the South Regional event tying for fifth to score 221 (72+77+72), the highest performance of individual competitors. She shot eight-over-par for the tournament, coming within one shot of a top-three finish. Some highlights during Stephenson's perfomance includes a total of nine birdies, leading all golfers. Her finish qualifies her to compete as an individual for the NCAA National Championship for only the second time in Lander's history.
The NCAA Division II Championships will be held on May 10-14 at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga.
