Lander University selected to host the 2024 NCAA Div. II Super Region II Wrestling Championships

GREENWOOD – Lander University and the Lander athletic department is pleased to announce that Lander University will be the host site for the 2024 NCAA DIv. II Super Region II Wrestling Championships.  
Lander will join Kutztown (Region I), West Liberty (Region III), the University of Indianapolis (Region IV), Minot State (Region V) and Colorado State – Pueblo (Region VI) as the 2024 host sites.
"Lander University along with Lander Athletics is excited about hosting this special event," said Athletic Director Brian Reese. "As our wrestling program has grown in stature, this only adds to our growing reputation in the region along with our national exposure. Lander University and Discover Greenwood will put on an outstanding tournament." This will be the first time the Bearcats have hosted the Super Region II Championships, with the Bearcats entering their fourth year as a program in 2023.
  2022 saw Lander not only claim its first South Atlantic Conference Carolinas title, but also its first All-American and National Champion in Zeth Brower. "We are extremely excited to host the NCAA Super Regional here at Horne Arena," said head coach R.C. LaHaye.
