Greenwood, S.C. - Women's tennis was defeated by #4 Columbus State on Saturday afternoon.
Emily Ineson and Mille Elsborg dropped their No. 1 Doubles set 5-7, followed by Hannah Panchal and Raquel Acco's 2-6 defeat in No. 2 Doubles. Chiara Gerbino and Roberta Armani finished off No. 3 Doubles winning 6-2.
Gerbino dropped two sets 1-6, 2-6 in No. 1 Singles. Maranda Adair was defeated 0-6, 2-6 in No. 2 Singles, Elsborg fell 2-6, 4-6 in No. 3 Singles. Panchal pushed her opponent to an extra set after winning her first set 6-4, and falling 2-6 [8-10]. Armani was defeated in two 2-6 sets, while Ineson wrapped up the afternoon with 3-6, 4-6 sets.
The Bearcats continue conference play next Friday, April 15th when Georgia College comes to town.
