Spartanburg, S.C. - Lander had four golfers in the top-10 at the Converse Spring Invite, including a first and second place finish by both Lander teams.
The starters for the Bearcats earned top honors scoring a total of 612 (308+304). The Lander B Team followed with a score of 640, shooting 64-over-par. Due to Lander having two teams represented, Erskine takes second place shooting 64-over-par as well. The Converse Valkyries end up in third, just one shot shy of second.
Hannah Stephenson shot four-over-par for the tournament, with Caroline Hardee only two shots behind at six-over-par. The pair finished first and second respectively. Gracie McCoy tied for fourth shooting nine-over-par. Emily Beiers rounded out the top-10, tying for seventh with an 11-over-par performance.
Ella Nilsson tied for 19th shooting 17-over-par. Two Bearcats take home a 21st place tie, with Chloe Hiott and Elizabeth Bradley shooting 18-over-par. Victoria Callahan finished one shot behind at 19-over-par to tie for 26th. Alayna Fortenberry tied for 33rd and Caitlyn Cash tied for 44th. They shot 23-over-par and 27-over-par respectively.
Lander has one more competition before the start of the Peach Belt Tournament, hosting the Bearcat Invitational on March 28-29th.
