GREENWOOD – The Lander baseball team is coming off a bounce back win against Anderson and will now face Lincoln Memorial for a three-game series this weekend.

STORYLINES
- Lander is coming off a bounce-back 8-6 win against Anderson on Tuesday.
- Bradley Davis had three hits and two RBI on the night. Mason Streater hit his fourth home run in as many games and brought home three runs.
- After a slow offensive start to the season, Lander has scored eight or more runs in five of its last six games.
- Davis is currently fifth in the PBC in batting average through seven games. He's currently hitting .414 with 12 hits, one double, five runs and five RBI.
- As a team, Lander has seen its team batting average rise to .261.
- After Davis' 12 hits, Matthew Burgess, Vincent DeRubeis and Mason Streater are all tied for second on the team with 11 hits.
- Chandler Moeller leads the team in doubles with four. He's hit a double for four of his five hits this season.
- Burgess has the only triple of the year for Lander while Streater leads the way in home runs with four. DeRubeis is close behind with three. Streater also leads the Bearcats in RBI with 12.
- Streater was named the NCBWA Southeast Region Player of The Week and PBC Player of the week for his performance against Newberry.
- Streater hit .538 with a 1.385 slugging percentage in three games against #15 Newberry over the weekend. The senior infielder collected seven hits in the series with two doubles and three home runs. He homered in all three games, driving in a pair in the opener with three RBI in game two and a double and a homer in game three with two more RBI for seven in all. He also scored four runs and drew a walk for a .571 on-base percentage.
- Streater ranks tied for 2nd in home runs and sixth in RBI. He's also 24th in the nation in home runs.
- As a team, Lander is 78th in the country in total doubles, 48th in ERA, 85th in total hits, 45th in home runs, 58th in home runs per game, 46th in WHIP and 35th in Walks Allowed Per Nine Innings.
- Evan Mauldin leads the Bearcats pitching staff in wins with a 2-0 record and a WHIP of .88. Through 11.1 innings of relief he's allowed nine runs, seven earned on 10 hits while striking out eight.
- Bryce Jackson and Bennett Sloper have delt the most innings. Jackson has pitched 13.2 innings while Sloper had thrown 13.1. The pair have each started three games.
- Jackson leads the Bearcats pitching staff with 15 strikeouts this season. He currently has an ERA of 1.98 after allowing nine runs, three earned on 11 hits.
- Bennett Nance is the last Bearcats to have 10 or more strikeouts in the early season.
- Lincoln Memorial comes into this series with a 7-4 overall record.
- They're currently on a two-game losing streak with losses to Cedarville and most recently a 7-4 defeat at Lee.
- The Flames jumped out to an early 5-0 lead with five runs coming around in the second before scoring another run in the third. Lincoln Memorial scored a run in the fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth innings, but couldn't overcome the early gap.
- The Railsplitters will be playing their first road series, with the first road game of the season coming at Lee. LMU is currently7-3 at home and 0-1 on the road.
- As a team, LMU is hitting .292.
- Kevin McCarthy is leading the Railsplitters with a batting average of .444 in four games played and three starts.
- Cameron Bowen leads the way in hits with 14 and is tied for the team lead in doubles. Ryan Kurth, who's tied with Bowen in doubles, and Carson Boles are next in line for hits with 13 each. Bowen is also tied for the team lead in triples with Collin Goda while Kurth is the team's leader in home runs with three. Kurth is also the leader in RBI with 11 for the Railsplitters.
- Patrick Queener and David Brian Ellisson both have two wins on the season for LMU. Alex Brewer has delt a team-high 16 innings this season in three starts. Queener has 23 strikeouts to lead the pitching staff. Brewer is the next closest with 18.
- Lincoln Memorial will host Mars Hill on March 1 next while Lander welcomes No. 1 Wingate to Dolny Stadium for a 4 pm start on March 1.
