Spartanburg, S.C.- Women's tennis took care of business with a 7-0 victory against Converse on Thursday. This makes three straight wins for Lander.

The Bearcats won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point. The duo of Emily Ineson and Mille Elsborg won 6-3, while Hannah Panchal and Maranda Adair won 6-4. Chiara Gerbino and Roberta Armani defeated Converse's No. 3 Doubles in a straight set of 6-0.

No. 1 Singles was handled by Gerbino, who defeated her opponent 6-1, 7-5, followed by Adair's No. 2 Singles performance of 6-3, 6-0. Elsborg took No. 3 Singles at 6-2, 6-0, and Raquel Acco was taken to three sets in No. 4 Singles winning 6-2, 1-6, 6-1. Ineson defeated her challenger 7-5, 6-0 in No. 5 Singles, while Shea Connelly sealed the deal in No. 7 Singles winning 6-4, 7-5.

The Bearcats travel to Newberry on Saturday Feb. 19. This will be the second meeting this season between the two, as Lander suffered a 0-4 loss during the City of Florence Invitational on Feb. 6.
