ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Flagler scored the game-winning goal with just over five minutes remaining in regulation to defeat Lander Saturday afternoon in women's soccer action.
Despite having 12 shots between the two teams in the first half, the score was tied at zero at intermission. The Saints struck first in the second half with a goal in the first five minutes. Flagler continued to lead until the 68th minute when Mary Moosbrugger found Mia Piazza for a goal to tie the game up. It looked as if the game would end in a 1-1 tie, but a Flagler goal in the 85th minute gave the Saints the win.
In goal, Taylor Frew made seven saves.
