STORYLINES

• The Bearcats are coming off a loss to Georgia College in the final game of the three-game series against the Bobcats. Lander won the first two games 9-4 and 6-2 while losing the third game 14-7.
• Marshall Thompson went all nine innings against the Bobcats in the first game, striking out 12 in the process.
• Lander drove in 22 runs on 32 hits against Georgia College in the series.
• Before winning against GCSU, Lander had lost it's last seven and was 2-8 in its last 10 coming into the series.
• Lander and Wingate have faced off once before this season, with the Bulldogs taking an 8-3 victory at Dolny Stadium on Feb. 16. Bo Richey had two of the Bearcats' five hits in that contest, with one of those hits being a double.
• The Bearcats have scored 257 runs in 32 games this season. As a team, they are hitting .287, have an on-base percentage of .388 and a slugging percentage of .454.
• The Bearcats are currently third in the PBC with 325 hits and are tied for first in tripled with 11.
• Roury Glanton leads the Blue and Gold in hits with 47, home runs with 11, RBI with 33 and batting average with a .359. Glanton has reached base in the last 11 games.
• Mason Streater has 43 hits and leads the team with 10 doubles.
• Richey has 23 hits and holds the team lead in triples with four. He's hitting .305 and has an on-base percentage of .408.
• After his complete game on April 9, Thompson now has six wins on the season. He's the only Bearcats to have more than three wins. Thompson has pitched 62.1 innings this season while only allowing 32 earned runs. He leads the squad with 76 strikeouts and has a K/9 ratio of 10.97.
• Wingate is 25-11 this season. After finishing its conference schedule, the Bulldogs will face Lander and Francis Marion before the SAC Tournament begins on April 22.
• Wingate is 14-3 at home this season.
• The Bulldogs recently went 3-1 against Anderson on April 11 and 12. They lost a close 13-12 contest in the second game of the series. In total, Wingate plated 48 runs against the Trojans.
• McCann Mellett leads the Bulldogs with 40 hits. He also has a batting average of .325 along with 12 doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 31 RBI.
• Logan McNeely has 33 RBI on 29 hits this season. That featured 10 doubles, two triples and three home runs.
• Wingate has three pitchers with five or more wins. Davis Nash is currently 6-3 through 10 appearances and nine starts. Brody McCullough and Hunter Dula are both 5-1 on the season.
• Dula leads the pitching staff with 52 while McCullough is second with 49.
• Lander returns to conference action with a trip to Georgia Southwester for three games between April 17 and 18.
