GREENWOOD – After falling to No. 12 North Greenville 5-2 at Fluor Field on Tuesday, the Lander baseball team is back home to host Young Harris for a three-game series this Friday and Saturday.

STORYLINES
- The Bearcats fell to North Greenville 5-2. Junior Bo Richey went 3-for-3 with a pair of triples and a single along with walking once.
- Lander is on its longest-losing skid of the season after dropping the last four. The previous high mark was two.
- Although in eighth place in the PBC, the Bearcats are just a couple of games back of fourth-place Columbus State who is 10-7 in conference action.
- Through 26 games, Lander has scored 219 runs, is hitting .286 as a team along with having a .395 on-base percentage and a team slugging percentage of .455.
- Four Bearcats currently have 30 or more hits, with Mike Fitschen, Mason Streater, Ward Betts and Roury Glanton taking up those spots.
- Glanton leads the team with 40 hits in 26 games. His 40 hits are tied for the second-most in the PBC. Glanton also has eight doubles, three triples, nine home runs and 29 RBI. He also leads the team in batting average with .367.
- Betts and Streater are tied for second with 34 hits. The pair have combined for 14 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 38 RBI.
- Fitchen rounds out the list with 32 hits, five doubles, one triple and 18 RBI.
- Lander also has six players with an on-base percentage above .400 who have played at least 24 games this season.
- The Bearcats used six arms against the Crusaders. Praise Thorsen, Davis Cunningham and Bryce Jackson all threw a scoreless inning of relief while Thorsen and Cunningham struck out a combined five batters.
- In the 21 games played between the Bearcats and Mountain Lions, Lander is 15-6 all-time.
- Young Harris is coming into the series 15-7 overall and 13-5 in the PBC. The Mountain Lions are currently third in the PBC behind UNC Pembroke (15-3) and North Georgia (18-6).

- Chad Brown leads the pitching staff with a record of 4-1. He's made six starts with 34 innings of work. He's allowed 13 earned runs while striking out 24. McLain Harris has an ERA of 2.88 and a record of 3-2. He's dealt 25 innings through nine appearances and one start.
- After Young Harris, Lander is back home to host Georgia College for a three-game series on April 9 and 10.
