Box Score Dahlonega, Ga. – The Lander men's soccer team continued its winning ways with a 5-0 victory at North Georgia.
The Bearcats move to 4-0-0 overall while North Georgia falls to 0-5-0 overall.
Lander was led by sophomore Max Bolton's hat-trick, while freshman Marco Gueli and junior Luke Jordan scored the other two goals.
Bolton started the game off with a late goal in the 43rd minute to give Lander a 1-0 lead going into the half.
The Bearcats then struck twice in the 62nd minute, as Jordan put away an unassisted goal while Gueli put away his second of the season off a pass from sophomore Mohssine Samiki.
Bolton netted the last two goals for the Bearcats in the 70th and 83rd minute respectively to give Lander its 5-0 advantage.
The Bearcats defense shut down the Nighthawks, with zero shots reaching goal.
For the fourth straight game, junior goalkeeper Jacob Withers earned the victory. Withers also earned his fourth consecutive clean sheet with the win today.
Lander looks to continue its reign of terror as it returns to Van Taylor Stadium to host USC Aiken on March 8.
