STORYLINES
- The Bearcats are coming off a narrow 58-53 loss at Fayetteville State on November 24.
- Zane Rankin led the Bearcats in scoring with 19 points which saw him go 5-of-11 from 3-point range.
- Although trailing for most of the first half, the Bearcats did take the lead midway through the second half but were unable to hold on.
- Lander has lost by five or fewer points in all four of its losses this season.
- Deandre Robinson and Nigel Colvin are the only two Bearcats to average double figures in scoring with 13.5 and 10.4 points per game respectively.
- Lander currently has the third-best scoring defense among PBC teams with an average of 67.2 points allowed per game. North Georgia has the top scoring defense early on with 65.5 points allowed per game.
- Lander does rank last in scoring offense with 66.2 points per game. Augusta is first with 91.5 points per game.
- This will be the first meeting between Lander and Claflin since 2006. Lander won 60-52 at Horne Arena.
- Before that meeting, Lander last faced Claflin in 1989.
- The Bearcats are 13-2 all-time against Claflin and 8-1 and 5-1 on the road.
