Greenwood – Due to Friday's inclement weather, Saturday was the opening day of the Lander Invitational, hosted by men's and women's tennis.
 
Six Bearcats competed in singles play, going 3-3. Raquel Acco and Catalina Santander both won in straight sets with victories against Converse. Emily Ineson had 6-1, 6-1 showings against North Greenville. All three are set to play in the semifinals on Sunday.
 
Doubles competition was suspended due to a rainstorm but will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday before singles semifinals competition.
