TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Lander baseball team will make the trip to 7th-ranked North Greenville Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m. at Ray & Bea Dillard Field at Ashmore Park.

STORYLINES

• Lander split a doubleheader with rival Erskine on Saturday. The Bearcats lost 7-6 on a walk-off in Game 1 and won 17-6 in six innings in Game 2. Game 3 will be played at home on Monday at 5:00 p.m.

• The Bearcats continued their power-hitting from last year as they hit four home runs on Saturday.

• North Greenville slipped past Lander in the previous meeting between the programs, as the Crusaders scored the go-ahead run on an error in the bottom of the eighth to win the contest held at Ray & Bea Dillard Field at Ashmore Park, 8-7.

• Last time out, North Greenville dropped a 6-5 decision to Palm Beach Atlantic on Sunday to wrap up their weekend road trip in Florida.  

• The Crusaders turned in a strong 2019 season, winning the Conference Carolinas Championship to secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament before falling to Catawba in the Southeast Super Regional.

• The Crusaders return five starters from last year's squad.
