MCCORMICK, S.C. – The Lander women's golf team finished in seventh place to conclude action at the Savannah Lakes Fall Invitational.
The Bearcats shot 628 (319+309) as a team to finish the tournament. Limestone finished first with a team score of 593 (296+297).
Lander had a pair of top-15 finishes, as junior Hannah Stephenson tied for eighth with an eight-over-par performance while fellow junior Caroline Hardee finished tied for 15th after shooting 10-over-par.
Freshman Ella Nilsson tied for 20th after shooting 13-over-par while sophomore Chloe Hiott tied for 38th with a 31-over-par tournament. Junior Tatum Warr rounded out the Bearcats lineup with a 47th place finish after shooting 31-over-par.
Competing as individuals, Junior Madison Jordan finished in 43rd place with a 24-over-par performance, freshman Caitlyn Cash finished in 46th place shooting 29-over-par while sophomore Marley Barefoot finished 52nd with a 35-over-par tournament.
The Bearcats will take time to rest and prepare for the remainder of the season, as the Blue and Gold will travel to St. Augustine, Fla., to compete in the 2021 World Golf Invitational on February 8.
