Women's golf finishes seventh at Converse Spring Invite

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Lander women's golf team completed its second event of the spring with a seventh-place finish at the Converse Spring Invite on Tuesday. 

The Bearcats were led by Hannah Fesperman, who fired an 85 on Tuesday to finish with a score of 166. Fesperman placed in a tie for 11th at the tournament. Hannah Stephenson finished seven strokes back of Fesperman, carding a 173 to grab a share of 23rd place. Caroline Hardee finished tied for 32nd, Madison Jordan placed 45th, and Caroline Jenkins finished 50th. 

The Bearcats finished with a score of 711, 17 shots ahead of Montreat. Newberry claimed the tournament title with a 648, with Taylor Lance claiming the individual championship for the Wolves with a two-day score of 153. 

Lander returns to action on March 4-5 when the Bearcats compete at the Low Country Invitational in Bluffton, S.C.
