DUE WEST, S.C. – The Lander volleyball team completed an unbeaten weekend at the Fleet Classic on Saturday with a pair of 3-0 wins over UVA-Wise and North Greenville. The Bearcats topped the Cavs 25-12, 25-10, 25-15 and defeated the Crusaders 26-24, 25-21, 25-17. 

Eight different Bearcats recorded kills in the win over UVA-Wise, led by nine from Hannah Hritz. Nell Copeland recorded a team-high 14 assists, while Madilyn Reed added 11 on the day. Lander (6-1) surrendered the opening point to the Cavs (0-4) on an attack error, but never trailed the rest of the match. 

In the win over NGU (5-3), Kaitlyn Krafka led the attack with 12 kills. Reilly Kuenstler hit .667 in the sweep with seven kills of her own, while Reed tallied 25 assists and Hannah McManus posted 17 digs. 

The Bearcats will put their five-match winning streak on the line Wednesday night as Lander hosts Converse in its first home match of the season at 7:00 p.m.
