GREENWOOD – The Lander women's tennis team saw its season come to an end on Tuesday afternoon as the Bearcats fell to Georgia College 8-1 at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
Lander (7-10, 1-8 PBC) was able to take a point at No. 1 singles as Eduarda Ferreira rallied from a set down to win a tiebreaker and help the Bearcats avoid the shutout. Georgia College (12-5, 6-1 PBC) swept doubles action and sealed the win with points at No. 2, 3 and 5 in singles play.
