AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Lander women's tennis team could not overcome dropping a pair of three-set decision in singles play on Friday afternoon as the Bearcats fell to Augusta, 7-2.
Lander (4-6, 1-4 PBC) trailed 2-1 after doubles action with a win at No. 1 from Lindsey Wiggins and Nelli Lius, then forced third sets at the No. 2 and No. 5 spots in singles play, but could only secure a point at No. 1, thanks to Lius' straight-sets win at No. 1.
The Bearcats return to Greenwood on Sunday afternoon for a match against Flagler at 1:00 p.m.
