Men's basketball puts winning streak on the line at USC Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. – The Lander men's basketball team (11-14, 7-12 PBC) hits the road for the first time in two weeks as the Bearcats travel to USC Aiken (13-10, 10-9 PBC) on Saturday night for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.

STORYLINES:

• Lander currently sits in a three-way tie for eighth-place in the Peach Belt Conference.  

• The Bearcats are playing away from home for the first time since Feb. 3. 

• Lander defeated Young Harris 107-97 on Thursday, marking the first time the Bearcats scored 100 points in a home conference game since 2012.  

• The Bearcats have surpassed the 100-point mark twice this season. 

• USC Aiken topped Lander 96-72 in Greenwood on Jan. 20. 

• Lander has shot over 50.0 percent from the field, from the free-throw line and from three-point range in each of its last three games. 

• The Bearcats are 9-0 this season when scoring 80 points or more.
