GREENWOOD – The Lander women's tennis team earned its second shutout of the season on Friday night as the Bearcats blanked Belmont Abbey 9-0 in a non-conference match at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander improves to 7-3 overall, while Belmont Abbey falls to 8-9.

In singles, No. 1 Yuriko Ono (LU) def. Aisiri Jandyala (BAC) 8-2; No. 2 Ivanka Mocic (LU) def. Teagan McNamara (BAC) 8-3; No. 3 Caroline Yodice (LU) def. Erika Noblett (BAC) 8-3; No. 4 Nelli Lius (LU) def. Morgan Zahnd (BAC) 8-1; No. 5 Isabella Schulz (LU) def. Emily Heim (BAC) 8-0; and No. 6 Lucia Ric (LU) def. Hannah Davis (BAC) 8-1.

In doubles, No. 1 Ono/Lius (LU) def Darian DeFrench/Zahnd (BAC) 8-1; No. 2 Yodice/Schulz (LU) def. Rachele Subik/Alex Weber (BAC) 8-4; and No. 3 Mocic/Suzuki (LU) def. Heim/Davis (BAC) 8-0.
