GREENWOOD – The Lander women's tennis team claimed two doubles matches and four singles matches on  Thursday afternoon en route to a 6-3 non-conference victory over Emmanuel at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander improves its record at 5-3, while Emmanuel drops to 6-9.

In singles, No. 1 Fantine Botella (EC) def. Yuriko Ono (LU) 7-5, 6-2; No. 2 Pearllan Cipriano (EC) def. Caroline Yodice (LU) 6-3, 6-3; No. 3 Ivanka Mocic (LU) def. Maria Raich (EC) 6-4, 7-5; No. 4 Nelli Lius (LU) def. Victoria Silva (EC) 6-0, 6-0; No. 5 Julia Suzuki (LU) def. Katherine Kiderlen (EC) 6-4, 6-3; and No. 6 Isabella Schulz (LU) def. Chloe O'Connor (EC) 6-3, 6-1.

In doubles, No. 1 Botella/O'Conner (EC) def. Schulz/Yodice (LU) 8-5; No. 2 Ono/Lius (LU) def. Raich/Kiderlen (EC) 8-4; and No. 3 Mocic/Suzuki (LU) def. Cipriano/Silva (EC) 8-5.

Lander will next host USC Aiken at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, in a Peach Belt Conference match.
