FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Lander women's tennis team swept all but one singles match Tuesday afternoon and defeated Emmanuel College, 8-1, in a non-conference match.
Lander improves to 6-9 overall, while Emmanuel drops to 5-15.
In singles, No. 1 Fantine Botella (E) def. Ivanka Mocic (L), 6-4, 7-5; No. 2 Yuriko Ono (L) def. Pearllan Cipriano (E), 6-7, 5-7, 0-6; No. 3 Anni Poikola (L) def. Katharina Kiderlen (E), 6-2, 6-0; No. 4 Carolina Yodice (L) def. Chloe O'Connor (E), 6-1, 6-4; No. 5 Renata Mello (L) def. Kaylee Kirby (E), 6-2, 6-0; and No. 6 Lauren French (L) def. Abi Muesse (E), 6-2, 6-1.

Lander will next travel to North Greenville for a non-conference match at 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 13.
