GREENWOOD, S.C. – Sam Lofts scored his fourth goal of the season midway through the first half, leading the Lander Bearcats to a 2-0 win over North Georgia ON Wednesday night at Van Taylor Stadium.

With the win, the Bearcats improve to 6-3 over and 4-0 in the Peach Belt Conference. The Nighthawks fall to 5-7, (3-4).

Lofts opened up the scoring at the 32:07 mark, when he connected with Jamie North, giving the Bearcats an early 1-0 advantage.

Michael Leach extended the Bearcats' lead to 2-0 at the 59:02 mark when he netted his third goal of the season from a Lofts assist.

With the win, the Bearcats extended their win streak to five matches, wining four in a row in Peach Belt Conference play.

Dean Cowdroy grabbed seven saves for Lander. Conner Domaleski tallied seven saves for North Georgia.
