GREENWOOD – Halle Dotson had a team-high 13 kills and Katie Haake recorded a double-double in assists and digs as the Lander volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Peach Belt Conference foe Flagler on Saturday afternoon in Horne Arena. Game scores were: 25-17, 25-21, 25-17.

Lander moves to 18-7 overall and 6-6 in the PBC, while Flagler improves to 11-5, (7-1).

Dotson registered just two errors in 33 attacks, while also adding a dig and a block assist. Khiani Kelly recorded six kills and Amanda Medlock added five. Haake and Sophia Perkins finished 13 assists each, while Haake, Medlock and Hannah McManus each recorded 14 digs on the afternoon. Kendall Korte finished with 10 digs. 

Flagler was led by Sara Davis (13 kills), Tara Savisky (35 assists, 11 digs) and Taja Valmyr (17 digs). 

After the Saints took a back-and-forth first set, Lander held an 18-15 lead in the second set before Flagler closed with a 10-3 run. A 7-0 run for the Saints in the third set helped propel Flagler to a three-set victory. 

Lander travels to in-state rival USC Aiken on Thursday, October 27, for a 7:00 p.m., contest.
