AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Lander volleyball team won its second road match of the season in conference play on Tuesday night, defeating Peach Belt rival Augusta, 3-0, in Christenberry Fieldhouse.  

Lander downed the Jaguars, 25-18, 25-13, 25-20, to move to 18-5 overall and 6-4 in the league. Augusta fell to 11-8, (5-3). 

The Bearcats have won four consecutive PBC matches and are 8-1 overall in the month of October.

Halle Dotson led the Bearcats with 15 kills, while Katie Haake recorded a double-double with 19 assists and 13 digs. Hannah McManus tallied 15 digs on the night, while Kendall Korte added 12. 

Augusta was led by Sammie Baker (18 assists), Cat DeSilvester (16 digs) and Payton Murchie (10 assists).
