Box Score 2 JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Lander volleyball team split its games Friday afternoon with non-conference foes Carson-Newman and Lincoln Memorial during the first day of the SAC/PBC Challenge. The Bearcats defeated Carson-Newman, 3-0, then fell to Lincoln Memorial, 3-0.
Lander moves to 15-5 overall. The Bearcats will face Tusculum at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the opener and then play Mars Hill at 5:00 p.m.
Against Carson-Newman, Halle Dotson and Khiani Kelly each registered 10 kills, while Hannah McManus added 29 digs. Sophia Perkins led the Bearcats with 19 assists.
Carson-Newman was paced by Natalie Harris (12 kills), Taylor Lowe (24 digs) and Anna Patton (21 assists).
Against Lincoln Memorial, Dotson added 15 kills and Kendall Korte recorded nine digs to lead the team, while Perkins racked up 19 assists.
LMU was led by Kiera Holland (10 kills and Abby Cash (26 assists, 11 digs).
