GREENWOOD - Lander's Breshay Johnson, a 5-9, sophomore forward from Hopkins, S.C., was selected the Peach Belt Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 7-13, it was announced by the league office today.

In Lander's only game last week, Johnson led the Lady Bearcats to a 114-78 non-conference win over Carver College when she scored 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Johnson connected on 9-of-13 field goals for 69.2 percent and made 9-of-11 free throws for 81.8 percent.

In PBC statistics, Johnson is first in total points (161), free throws made (51) and offensive rebounds (43); second in points per game (20.1); third in field goals made (55); fourth in field goal percentage (.611); and total rebounds (71); and sixth in rebounds per game (8.9).
